Blue Lagoon sits high in the Bird Streets, a hillside estate of more than 12,000 square feet where contemporary architecture is warmed by Mediterranean-inspired materials. Glass walls run the length of the main floor, so the view — the Los Angeles skyline on one side, the ocean beyond it on clear days — is present in almost every room.

The house is built for company. Two full kitchens allow a private chef to work without disturbing the party, and the living and dining rooms open straight onto the terraces. Five bedroom suites are spread across the floors, the primary looking over the infinity pool and the city, with a spa bathroom and a large dressing room. Outside, the pool deck, the shaded dining pergola and the lounge terraces make up most of the day.
